Getting Started

So you own an ECB_AT91 and you want to get started. This is where you should start. If you get a new board, it will come with the boot loaders and a Linux kernel. You can also flash it yourself using the serial port.

1. First login
   1. Use a serial cable
   2. Use SSH
   3. Root Over NFS

First login

For your very first login, you can either use a serial cable (null modem) or use SSH.

If you didn't get it with a OS pre-installed, then you can boot over NFS.

Use a serial cable

You need a cable that allows you to connect to the serial port of the ecb_at91.

Connect the board to the serial port with a serial cable. Then you can either:

• configure minicom to use the serial console
• configure kermit to use the serial console

And then login as root with the password emqbit. You should change the default password.

Use SSH

First, plug the board to the network and connect the power adaptor. The ECB_AT91 will use DHCP to ask for an address. Wait until it gets an IP assigned. Then login as root with the password emqbit. You should change the default password.
